Alcohol Ink

Athens, Ohio

Long before making anything with Alcohol Inks, I was a quilter. My fascination with the color play in the quilting fabric called batik, and a desire to create that look on different surfaces, led me first to make the earrings I call “batik” using alcohol inks on metal. From there I have expanded to alcohol ink paintings and more recently using alcohol inks to embellish glassware.

What will be next on my journey is anybody’s guess. I only know that I never want to stop learning. I hope you enjoy!

“Color is a power which directly influences the soul”.

–Wassily Kandinsky
